For those who want to cover pre-existing conditions, I would suggest that you offer 2/3rds of your paycheck to do so. Insurance is meant to cover you for what may happen in the future, not the past. If you want to bankrupt the country and become like the UK, Brazil and many others, then you are free to leave. If you want to wait 5 hours in line to get and appointment just to see a doctor and wait two weeks to see one, then go to the UK. If you want to wait for 5 years to get a hip replacement, then go to the UK. If you think socialized medicine is the way to go, then get off of the couch and travel to the countries that have it and see what it's really like. Just remember, nothing is free. Also remember that no one in this country is refused critial (emergency)medical care when needed. That doesn't mean, however, that they are going to take care of you for the rest of your life.
