I would go even more radical and raise the living wage to 15$ an hour NOW if not more than even 15$. The fact that many work a full time position and a part time position if not 2 full time 40 hour positions and still struggle, indicates that minimum wage is not a living wage. If a person works 40 hours a week on minimum wage they should be able to pay rent, pay utilities, buy food, buy clothing, and I would even say build savings. This is no longer a reality and the wage rate needs to change if people are to survive in this country. Where will the extra money come from?? CEO's should be required to reinvest some of their earning back into their company's workforce. If they opt to not reinvest and pay more to their workers, the income should then become taxable so government can reinvest in infrastructure. The men (and some women) running large businesses and banks in this country have more money than they know what do with and the people starve and struggle, it's immoral and anti-american.
