I agree with several comments left here. Congress and US citizens, including experts in the area the bill addresses, need time to read and reflect on sometimes dense text to make an initial opinion before the bill is debated. Time is also needed to digest any amendments. Rumor has it that lobbyists either write or heavily influence the content of bills then hand them to our Congress people. If this is true, the industry from whence the bill came needs to be plainly referenced on the top of the bill. I've never seen so quick a vote as I when saw the ACHA fly through the House. We need measured responses, not hurried showmanship and bravado.
