The extremely unfortunate reality is that women have abortions. They have had them, and they will continue to have them. By limiting women's access to safe and clean abortion services, we have left them with no other choice than to resort to dangerous and unsanitary forms of abortion. Women will be forced back into back alleys with coat hangers, or having some back room doctor hack them up, or a potential father beat them until they miscarry. This is not a dramatic slippery slope argument, this is the truth. Do you know who will continue to have access to appropriate abortions? The wealthy. The poor will be the ones who suffer, as usual. This is an issue of public health. Abortions are an unfortunate reality, but if a woman chooses to get an abortion, she should be able to do so when she chooses and in a safe and sanitary manner/facility.
