This is a huge mistake. Getting the public, or loyal employees, to invest in a company is an easy way for companies to take money and squander it. Until we eliminate upper class, middle class and lower class stigma upper management in most cooperations will take advantage of those "below them." Power only creates greed, and a sense of entitlement. Upper management will always mask mistakes. Then hold pep rallies, and stifle questions and disagreement with "drink the Kool-aid" speeches to hush those they expect to worship their positions/decisions. Those below management will always be requested to invest in "their company" and trust management to have the best interest of the customers/investors in mind with all decisions. When in reality they are just over paid puppets trying to sugar coat the mistakes they, and those above them, have made in the name of progress or growth by robbing the workers who actually put sweat equity into "their companies."
