I think most of the 'yeas' are missing a huge point. This isn't just about probation officers arresting their clients who are on probation. It's about them being able to arrest anyone regardless of their probation status if they feel the need to. This could be a roommate who's unaware of a visit and refuses to open the door if the client isn't there or the probation officer doesn't properly identify his or her self. Checks and balances exist to protect all of our so called rights and scape goats are used to undermine or erode these rights.
