This bill requires city jails to give inmates a document that\ndetails all of their rights as inmates. The document would cover inmates’\nrights regarding:

Personal hygiene,
Recreation,
Religious practice,
Access to legal services and fair treatment,
Visitation, telephone calls and other correspondence,
Media access,
Due process in disciplinary proceedings,
Medical care, safety\nfrom violence, and the grievance system.

The inmate bill of rights would also detail any additional resources\navailable to inmates at their assigned facilities. The Dept. of Correction and its facilities would also have to communicate the rights of inmates to every inmate in \"plain and simple language\" orally.
