Absolutely. It has been done in the past as a show of good faith. Unfortunately, we have finally encountered a president who is not willing to be transparent and above board with much of anything. We know the IRS has said there was no reason for them to be held up due to being in an audit. Therefore, we know there must be another reason to not engage in this time-honored tradition--a gesture of trust and respect for the office and the people it serves. One can only come up with more nefarious reasons to hide such information from the American people. It is infuriating and disrespectful.
