I teach CTE in a middle school. My state only wants to provide services for CTE to students in 8-12, but our district is choosing to do the right thing and stretch those $$ to serve 6-12. Since we no longer have a fully funded program, we are losing positions each year. Family and Consumer Science (cooking, childcare, household management) agriculture, automotive technology... I don't see anything in this bill that might prevent our situation, but I know that our classes are all that keep some kids in school, and get them ready for a good job when they graduate high school.
