I have been a postal worker since 2011. In 2016, I became what is considered a career full time employee. Until that time I worked 6-7 days a week, many 50-65 hour weeks, missing almost all family functions and many holidays once Amazon started with USPS delivery. I worked more hours in my non career years without health insurance until the last year as a sub. I personally feel those where the hardest years being expected to be available 24/7 with no health benefits and long hours. I made more money in some of those years than I do now as a regular career employee. I just personally feel that there should be credit. Oh, and during the years as a sub, we are not allowed to contribute to our retirement account. I am one of the lucky ones who only had to wait 5 years to go full time. Please, please pass this bill.
