Yes, a thousand time yes!!!! We are making an investment in becoming productive members of this country and its economy. However, the amount of debt accumulation that typically requires, and the pay we are often able to obtain post graduation make for an extremely untenable situation. I recently completed a masters degree and found out that a construction worker who holds a stop/slow sign makes double what I do per hour... While I know that person and they are great and doing good work, I can't help but feel just a bit like working so hard in school is not paying off in the way it should.
