Absolutely yes! I have a high school child with disabilities. We have Best Buddies at her school and it's wonderful, not only for the kids with disabilities, but the neuro-typical students too. It's often difficult for kids with disabilities to initiate and make friends, and long lasting friendships into adulthood. Best Buddies provides these friendship opportunities. It also fosters understanding and acceptance of people who are different. The organization does excellent work and should receive federal funds to expand their programs.
