I agree with the idea of this bill because medical liability lawsuits are out-of-hand and the number of tests doctors run to protect themselves is ridiculous. My PCP referred me to a cardiologist and neurologist after I reported two near-fainting spells (which were caused by restricted blood flow from crouching and locking knees). The cardiologist then suggested a series of tests including an operation to install a heart monitor, if the other tests failed to show any problems. The entire thing was ridiculous and the only the result of each doctor trying to protect themselves. However, the $250,000 cap seems quite low and the statue of limitations is also too short for some injuries.
