I would also like to see this commission look into the problem of sugar addition as well as the food industry’s impact on the increase in diabetes. I.e. their harmful practice of adding additional sugar (and sugar ‘look a-likes) to make food more and more appealing. This additional sugar is unnecessary and unhealthy. Diabetes prevention needs to include this issue. Additionally, there are related diabetic conditions that have added to this problem of too much sugar and processed food, including Reactive Hypoglycemia which I (and many others) have to deal with on a daily basis.
