Public-Private partnerships tend to being less a partnership than an opportunity for the private part to run up unpaid and unfunded liabilities and stick the public part with the bill while they ride off into the sunset none the worse. We should be fully funding education, not trying to foist off our collective responsibilities to other parties who can cut and run as soon as something better comes along. Education, like healthcare, are goals that do not flourish when profiteering is the bottom line. Just look at the for profit sector in adult education. Worthless degrees and a mountain of debt for the students and a nice fat federal teat they do their best to suck dry.
