OF COURSE! I'm 71 years old & I remember being in elementary school when the issue of lead in paint became an issue for children. (My school was closed for several weeks while they cleaned up the lead-based paint & repainted. All the kids & adults were tested for lead levels.) We have not dealt with the issue of lead all these years later as we can see by the Flint water poisoning. Unless we intend to spend an enormous amount of money in the future on rehab & social services for people with neurological damage from lead exposure, it would be wise to deal with it NOW. I know conservatives prefer catastrophe on someone else's watch but NOW is the time to do this!!!
