Shame on those who point to the lack of initiative on the part of other countries as an excuse for American complacency. We have an incredible opportunity in front of us, not to make futile attempts at recapturing past glories, but rather to lead the world into the future by tackling the challenges with innovative ideas. “We do these things not because they are easy but because they are hard” Roosevelt’s New Deal was thought of as to bold, over reaching and a program that would tank the U.S. too. The result was the incredible boom of the middle class, financial security and higher overall standard of living for all Americans for decades. It’s this prosperity that DTJ remembers and is trying to recapture. Quite frankly you can’t deregulate and tax cut your way into it. Look forward not backward.
