How is this even a question? It is a nonpartisan agreement that politicians should not profit disproportionately from their positions, that is pure corruption. Or at least it WAS nonpartisan. Nowadays, I'm sure plenty will see the "D" next to the sponsor's name and immediately reject it entirely on the basis of party loyalty. And the majority party politicians who benefit from these loopholes will be only happy to take advantage of those irrational biases in order to maintain their elitism.
