We need more small businesses because not everyone wants to deal with huge monopolies and people who are part of a major collaboration. I and a lot of people I know remember when there was more smaller businesses and we had a chance to choose which one we wanted to give our business to, but we had more access to resources right away instead of having to wait for shipping. As now many business is done online. Don’t get me wrong. It is great to just go online and order anything from pizza to cars, but the small businesses is great as a part of community and the can provide a more personal experience. And if you want to talk with the owner; you can. And if a store has something on sale you can just hop in the car and go send get it. We used to have a few shopping malls in downtown Worcester. We used to spend all day there on the weekends, which also gave kids places to go and have fun and get out of the house to play video games or pool, the real thing not from an X box or to bowling or watching a movie on a real big screen and great sound instead of just watching Netflix at home. And they gave jobs, obviously. I’m trying to say: when I was a kid the biggest toy that made us happy was the outside. And part of our days we’re walking to the mom and pop stores to buy snacks or play games or to walk around and check out our favorite stores in the mall or play some pool and it had great places to bring a date instead of a house party and getting high and drunk and getting girls pregnant. We also had a great dinner at our school bus stop. It was called “ Lou Roks” in case anyone reads this and knows that part of town. And the owners were a very nice older couple. They knew all us kids. Especially ones like me because I used to work at Worcester country club caddying. I used to caddy for Bob Cousy from the old Boston Celtics! He was a great man! It was always a privilege to spend an afternoon with him. So small businesses Need more funds so they can cater to the people who don’t want to be shut in the house and want to buy and be able to try clothes on before they buy or just spend time walking around in a mall full of small businesses and have fun just going out without having a big place to go. And it will bring jobs to a lot of Local people. And kids can work in clothes shops and shoe stores and fast food and different places. It brings in people and money from smaller towns like Leicester which is just a bit too small to have a lot of stores but they’re a short drive to Worcester. I’m just using my city as an example. But it helps bring people together and shows the Americans there government has faith in them. Which can bring a sense of pride to the nation again.
Thank you for your time and your mind.
