No!! Overtime should not be able to be converted into comp time. My husband's job does this. And I cannot count the number of times comp days were canceled because someone called in sick, someone was on vacation, etc.... The date keeps getting kicked down the road. Meanwhile they don't get the money for all those hours they already worked. And claiming it's an employee's choice is ridiculous. Because the employer is in a position of power over the employee and could force them to accept comp time. This is yet another example of our government trying to shortchange the workers while rewarding the wealthy.
