Yes federal minimum wage should exceed $13 an hour. Minimum wage should be the minimum wage it takes to work a reasonable amount and still be able to afford to live (eg. pay bills, but food, afford housing, ect.) Wages below $13 per hour do not fit the definition of minimum wage and fail the people in our country. Really below $15 per hour does not meet this requirement of the definition and purpose of minimum wage. However increasing the federal minimum wage to $13 per hour is an improvement from what is currently the federal minimum wage.
