I am an American citizen, born and raised in the state of Florida. Even though I have worked and paid taxes in this country for over 30 years, and disabled and denied medical coverage through Medicaid since our governor and his predecessor both denied expansion of Medicaid in this state no matter what the circumstance , I still have a problem with denying emergency medical attention to some one no matter who they are or where they are from. I am a citizen and have been denied coverage so I am a self-pay medical coverage and prescription medications, when I can afford to get either. I don't feel that an immigrant that is here illegally should be denied Medical Care, but only for that extended amount Of time for which it is needed. My question is how does an immigrant come here and set up their home here in the USA illegally?? Seems to me the problem is not at the border the problem it's within the government and letting these important issues pass by while grumbling amongst each other about issues that don't make a rat's ass in this country. Start with priorities and you will see that everything else will fall in its place. Send the American people videos of these flocks of hundreds of thousands of immigrants that are breaking down our borders to invade our country, then I will possibly believe it. And if they are coming here illegally, it's most likely because of the promise of making a better life and making more money than they could ever think of making in their own country by Shady employers right here in the good ole USA. But yet no mention of repercussions for them or for those who buy their way in. Ask mr. Trump how many immigrants does he have working in all of his numerous thriving businesses? Also ask how his illegal immigrant wife and her family became legal citizens so quickly but yet for others they have to go through hoops and Ladders. I agree if they come here and want to become citizens they should first learn to speak our language as we would be required to speak theirs if the roles were reversed. But I really don't think an American would be treated as trash when you just want what's best for your family and a way to obtain the basic components to sustain life. Most immigrants are running away from a horrific life of extreme poverty, hunger, and dictatorship and genocide and seek Asylum and peace. Are there a few bad apples? Absolutely, just as there are bad Americans, but come on legislators and lawmakers you can't mean to tell me , and millions of other Americans, that the source of all our problems lies in this one issue! There is a reasonable, simple solution, find it and stop trying to separate this country and play the blame game on whatever party you belong to. This is a human issue, much like the issue of aborted babies born alive that doctors and nurses who are supposed to support life, stand back and watch that baby gasp for breath but since it was already struck from life by the mother for her choice for having an abortion, just throw them in a trash bin. But that's another issue, and another one that people should be thinking seriously upon. Dehumanization is the beginning of the end of civilization. And if we all truly want to be honest with ourselves, many many Americans are immigrants or have family members who are immigrants, whether legal or illegal. If we can't accept anymore people to our population then make that known to the other countries, and instead of helping those who are obviously completely able of helping themselves such as Saudi Arabia, help those whose governments feed off the helplessness of there poverty-stricken citizens. The answer is there it's just too simple.
