Yes because in the business world this is another way to stifle small business competitiveness while, in the everyday consumer's life, we do not currently possess a true competitive landscape for internet providers and so will be gouged by the provider and left to their mercy. These providers are making piles of money as is. Additionally, i would take it one step further and state that companies, such as Comcast, who are charging by the gigabyte plans for their internet service in some locations should be outlawed. Again, this goes to providing more access for the haves versus the have nots. We are not North Korea and we do not strive to deprive our citizens of access. Keep down this road and I guarantee you will find a shift towards an increase in support for socialist control of utilities and certain industries and will also see a revolt towards the telecom industry even more so than is occurring today by the current cord cutters. Why is it that the US has the highest costs for everything? Pharmaceuticals, internet and cable, healthcare, etc and yet the return on these revenues that the companies pass along to the citizens is complete garbage. Stop being lobbied and start addressing the issues in a manner that makes sense for all.
