First off, if you don’t know anything about suppressors (silencers), than your opinion isn’t worth much. Silencers are not, in reality, the assassination tool you see in movies or on tv. A silencers is like a muffler for a car. Silencers reduce the decibel level of a gunshot by something like 20db’s. A rifle shot is around 180db’s. An attached silencer would reduce that to 160db’s. 160db’s is still not safe to shoot without hearing protection, but it is a whole lot safer than the 180db’s without the silencer. Silencers were attached to the National Firearms Act of 1934 at the height of the Great Depression. Why? Because people in the country were hungry and the GOVERNMENT didn’t want poachers out in the wild harvesting game to feed their families. Government overreach then, government overreach now. Deregulate this accessory for guns now.
