The attempt to withhold funding from Planned Parenthood is based on religious beliefs against abortion that should be respected for those who practice a chosen religion. It is not a stand that should be forced on others. Even to use the apportion argument is weak as it is only a small part of services provided. Parenthood provides vital services to women, children, men, individuals and families. Whether it be testing for cancer, communicable disease, prenatal care or the like, those receiving assistance are financially unable to receive solid care in other places. With the loss of services, communities are also more like to see the spread of deadly communicable diseases, as well as, numerous unwanted pregnancies and children unhealthy from birth.
