This bill contradicts itself by requiring laws to have a single purpose, yet at the same time, this bill has two purposes! And we would see the courts jam packed with people challenging laws they don't like. Not to mention the logistics of Congress voting that much. They barely even care about what's in it now. Should they just be able to read the title and vote? I don't think so. And lastly, though it may be unpopular, attaching riders has led to some landmark legislation, though I do concede that it is a net negative. IMO what should happen is there should be more transparency about what is in the bills, and have some sort of "cooling off" period where a bill sits for 2-3 days. What shouldn't happen anymore is this deadline setting, no-time-to-read-it legislation that too often gets rammed through on both sides of the aisle.
