The 14th Amendment allows for equality among "all persons." The amendment exists, there is no need to add another stating the same thing. BUT the constitution is, from time to time, the picture of an ideal that we are unable to reach... Does change for women's equality need to happen? Yes. WE need to change, not the constitution. We need to reach for the ideals written into the 14th amendment - which, by the way, was passed in 1866... We've take me huge strides closer since then, wouldn't you agree? Let's keep marching forward. Ever-closer to that ideal.
