This is a mixed bag. Emotionally because of the importance of bees in our environment one feels they should be outright banned but logically one should consider killer bees and come to the realization they should be controlled, not banned. Basically this is Federal over reach.
Editing to add to my previous comment as follows:
Having been a farmer for a large part of my life I have seen seen a lot of different chemicals come and go. The ones that go are generally outlawed by people not involved in the industry. Chemicals generally get into the food and water supply because they are abused by those who do not understand their proper use. For example I have, at times, seen people put more fertilizer, insecticide and/or herbicide on their yard in one season than a farmer would use on 100 acres, or more, in a whole season. When, for example, fertilizer is used in excess on a yard, the excess will wash off when it rains and end up in streams and lakes which cause aggressive algae blooms. Farmers have two reasons to not overuse these products. First they earn their living from the land do not want to cause harm to their land which of course would cause loss of income for no telling how long and second those products are expensive and cut deeply into a farmers profit.
