First off- the idea that you have a right to “own” each action you take online is ridiculous, not to mention impossible. You don’t get to take any digital action, or interact with any organization online, and then be upset that those actions are recorded or used as information.
Second- I STRONGLY encourage anyone to go watch the senate committee hearing on data brokers and the impacts on privacy that was held last week. Sen. Kennedy was cautioned against actions like these by experts in the field. He either ignored them, or more likely doesn’t understand the industry enough to comprehend the potential issues.
