The ACHA as amended puts millions of Americans, even those working, without healthcare. Preventative healthcare is far less costly than hospital ER visits that only increase costs for everyone. Those of us who are fortunate, I am one, should help those who are not. Many Republicans consider America a Christian nation but what would Jesus say and do? He wouldn't say "I won't heal you because you don't work or make enough money to pay me." He did say "Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me." Matthew 25:40 ... I am ashamed of a government which I support with taxes that does not help the poor, the sick, the downtrodden - those of us in ivory towers must walk amongst the people and see and feel their pain, their hardship, and do what we can for them, even sacrifice a few measly dollars to us, but a fortune to them. Do not vote for the current ACHA - go back to the drawing board and put the people first before your party and pockets!!
