I think this bill has great intentions but it falls short in a couple of key aspects. First, it adds to an already burgeoning national debt. This may not be an issue now, but it will cripple the lives of those that are meant to benefit from this bill years from now (such as myself). Secondarily, and perhaps most importantly, the bill offers to pay for all students going to college for four years regardless of income. But if someone's family is making three million dollars a year then they should pay for college, not the government. If the bill were amended to apply only to those among us that truly need it, then I believe that it'll also eat up a significantly smaller portion of our budget and be targeted at those who need it the most, therefore allowing it to do the most good. In that new, altered state, I would be prepared to support the bill. But not now where it's fiscally irresponsible and not targeted at those who would benefit from it the most.
