I don't see any purpose in this bill other than further promoting big business. Information gathered by the ISP I "choose" to use (out of the two available in my area) should not be considered their property. It's like setting up cameras in every unit of an apartment complex and being able to sell the footage of your residents to the highest bidder. Your complex is the only available housing so residents must choose to be under surveillance or be homeless. I don't think the consequences in this legislation are imminent but it's a move towards a type of society I don't want to live in. Knowledge is power. The ability to purchase knowledge exposing the most personal information of individuals is a very scary thought that would only further segregate the social classes.
