If the legislators who put this piece of dreck through did any studying of the situation with actual OB-GYN and not some hysteric, they would know that late-term abortions are only done when either the fetus is non-viable and continuing the pregnancy is a risk to the mother, or the mother's life is in danger (often from pre-eclampsia) and continuing the pregnancy would cause the death of both. No woman waits until the last trimester and then says, "You know what, I've changed my mind." That's a myth created by anti-abortion groups. If legislators attempt to scare doctors from performing medically safe procedures, we will go back to the days when women went to back-alley abortionists and died. Bills like this don't stop abortions, they merely stop safe abortions. Want to stop abortions - fully fund birth control, fully fund pre-and post-natal care, fully fund children's health care, make post-secondary education more accessible, and go from a minimum wage mindset to a living wage mindset. When birth control is available and wages are livable, abortion rates go down without legislators having to get self-righteous. Give women the right tools to govern and control their own bodies and family planning and you get the outcome you claim you want. But, if you are into self-righteous, shaming, keep them uneducated so they can't leave bad relationships, you won't get fewer abortions, you'll get fewer women surviving those abortions.
