Well I'm glad the Republicans are finally showing their spots on their disdain for the 1st Amendment. We as citizens of the US reserve the right to be politically active against any nation including our own. This means the right to peaceably assemble and protest the actions of those nations and to speak out when we don't agree with those action. Boycotting is another way of protest and to take that avenue of protest away from the public only hurts our democratic principles and our republic. The slippery slope here what if laws are passed that prohibit anyone from boycotting other states or businesses because of the laws or practices they pursue. This law is unconstitutional and really our government should take a long look at supporting governments that further their own agendas at the cost of marginalizing peoples and cultures different from their own.
