I seem to recall that in the early '60s college started to be promoted as a way to increase a person's earning power. My memory may be faulty here, having been born in 1951, but by the mid '60s colleges were firmly on the path to become white-collar trade schools. Now it seems most colleges and universities have abandoned learning for the sake of learning and becoming a well educated and well rounded individual for teaching job skills for specific industries. So it comes to this legislation to put the final nail in the coffin of education. That sounds too strong; I wish I could see it differently but I voted yay in recognition of the reality.
