Congress has given up too many powers to the executive office over the last five and a half decades. As a result they are not too occupied with work, and have time to provide too much attention to capital raising for campaigning. The Founding Fathers, gave the Congress an overseer role. The should be forced to undertake that duty. It would also provide a check on a want to be authoritative leader; a situation we might now be facing. The system worked very well when Congress had to cooperate with the other party and negotiate with the executive. Let's go back to that status as the present do-nothing Congresses are deplorable. This Yea is not the solution but will, at least, provide a systems of notice to Congressional staff and require the Reps and Senators to consider the ruling and have to answer if a wanton ruling is released.
