Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water. Abortion is morally wrong generally. But there are two questions to be answered for every abortion. 1. Is the abortion medically necessary? 2. Is the abortion an alternative to safe birth control? If the answer to question 1 is "yes" then the abortion should be allowed in medically safe conditions. If the answer to question one is "no" then a mandatory support system of counseling and financial support should be put in place. (Note: financial support should be mandatory from both parents until the age of 18 or until adoption out occurs.). If the answer to question two is "yes" then the same response as the "no" response to question one should be followed. If the answer to question two is "no" then the procedure for a "yes" response to question one should be followed except that the baby will be required to be given up for adoption at birth and the birth parents will have no rights with regard to that child or adult including disclosure of birth parent's identity.
