It must be done. This is one of many proposals that is rejected by the GOP. When the proposal involves a grand scale project (ex.: pipeline, war) Republicans are forward looking, chest thumping, 'we can be great again' cheerleaders. If it benefits the average American--it cannot be done. A New Jersey governor running for the Republican nomination for president told us at the most recent debate: America has to face the truth. Social Security is dead; it is gone and cannot be restored. He should not have thrown in that towel, and he wouldn't have if it impacted him personally. Higher education for all Americans who desire it; technical training for all Americans who desire it. Only good can come of this.
