I don't think this should fall on the shoulders of the DMV. It is the job of the Secretary of State (at least in WA) to figure out an effective/efficient system to register citizens to vote. This is a State Issue and I think this would be targeting the wrong state agency to handle this kind of work. Additionally, this would mean that I'd have to visit the DMV more often to update my address/county and my voter registration as I move around a lot. Why do that when I can just register online without burdening overworked DMV employees and adding to the long wait times at the DMV for other citizens who are getting their driver permit or first license, or they're updating a name after marriage or taking care of all the other license-issues that exist in those offices?
