Economic inequality is a very serious danger to the U.S. As such, it cannot be solved by such a high rise to the federal minimum wage. The minimum wage should be raised but not to such a high standard like $13 an hour. Personally, I would suggest around $10 for now, as this is a middle ground to the public's wishes of a $13-$15 minimum wage and the current rate. This wage would also be middle ground that businesses can logically manage and the public can use to better prepare themselves financially to fight out of poverty.
