Yes, yes, yes....My wife & I have been in the corporate world for thirty plus years now & have done fairly well. There is a glaring divide between what upper executives make and mid to lower level employees. Companies answer to boards and shareholder and unfortunately with far to many publicly held companies upper management has become more worried about shareholders and their personal jobs and pay than mid to lower level workers. Upper level executives will do anything to keep cost under control and profits continually going up and the cuts need to come from somewhere and that’s usually mid to lower level workers especially over the last decade or so or ever since the recession. Corporations are getting far more out of individual employees than ever before as they know what a tough job market it is out there. So when corporations think they can get away with it they will try and cut costs wherever they can including non executive employees. So yes it would be nice to see these publicly held companies who are making money hand over foot, and who are giving all their upper level executive raises at minimum then giving all other workers who are doing their jobs raises that at least keep up with inflation.
