I can agree with a bill prohibiting unsupervised possession until age 16. I have a 10 year old and now many more around the same age that are learning responsible gun ownership and safety under the supervision of a parent or competent adult. Furthermore some hunting rifles fall into these categories. I know many who will continue to hunt with their children no matter what the law says criminalizing one of the first father son/father daughter activities since the begging of this great country. It's not for everyone I understand that we have changed as a country in city areas this makes sense. But, the entire country does not live in LA or Chicago. They hunt and fish and conduct recreational activities with their children to put food on the table have fun and teach life lessons. Please do not take this American past time away from my children.
