I’m a so-called ‘blue water Navy’ sailor who served in the combat zone off the coast of Vietnam during the Vietnam War in 1972-1973. I believe that I and my shipmates were exposed to Agent Orange and other hazardous chemicals while transporting and transferring these chemicals as part of our duties aboard ship. It would be nice to receive the same benefits that our brothers in arms received. My Dad, an Air Force veteran, developed many medical issues later in life and spent the last 20 years of his life totally disabled due to his exposure to agent orange that eventually took his life. There is no reason that all exposed veterans shouldn’t receive full lifetime medical and disability benefits for their exposure.
