Well, I gotta say, there are a lot of people who support this rubbish. Mostly LIBERALS. But I wonder...WHO'S gonna PAY for all of this? We have over a $20 Trillion National Debt. We are currently supporting ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to the tune of $110 BILLION a year. The Social Security Trust is owed over $2.8 TRILLION which was "stolen" from the Social Security trust by almost every administration since Lyndon Johnson. Politicians and the U.S. Government Accounting Office state that both Social Security and Medicare will run out of money in less that 20 years. Social "medicine" (which essentially what's be touted here) is available in England and Canada. Ask the people in these countries how long it takes to get an appointment for a needed surgery. Ask them what they have to go through in order to get approval for needed surgery. Ask them how much of their income is taken to support this "Socialist" Medicaid system. Essentially, the Government places restrictions on what care and HOW MUCH CARE they receive. In fact, there are restrictions in place in our OWN Medicare system. A person being treated IN OUR COUNTRY under the current system, has a LIMITED BENEFIT to how much care they receive. It is LIMITED as to how much the Medicare system will spend on a single persons care. Sure, there are limits on how much the private insurers will lay out. But in the current health care system, at least you have a choice as to what care you need and when you need such care. Does anyone REALLY want the GOVERNMENT to decide the type or how much care you get and WHEN you get it? I don't. Then the LIBERAL ARGUMENT is just another TAX AND SPEND proposition. TAX the wealthy and redistribute the wealth to the poor. It's OBAMACARE run amok! Not to mention the CORRUPTION such a system would cause! We would have to INCREASE government oversight in order to handle the wide spread corruption in such a system. Costing Hundreds of MILLIONS of dollars. Medicaid and Medicare are ALREADY RIPE with corruption. No, the "single payer" (Socialist Medicine) system is not the solution. The REAL solution? GET HEALTH CARE COSTS UNDER CONTROL! Stop the PRICE GOUGING by the Hospitals, Doctors and Pharmaceutical companies. THAT will go a long way to making Health Care "affordable" to all.
