My wife and I are both disabled veterans. We have both served and we're honorably discharged. My wife was medically retired because of malpractice. My injuries are service connected. Multiple times our days off have been waisted at appointments, because the doctors haven't reviewed records, or failed to schedule further examinations. We have repeatedly contacted our congressman, with no resolution. Older white women have refused to check in my wife for her appointments, who is of Asian descent, because they thought she was a dependent, not the veteran.... Telling my wife, "you need to have your sponsor present for the appointment". I have witnessed this behavior and it has been reported. We receive HR letters from the VA saying they will look into it.... People need to be fired when they refuse or fail to provide healthcare to veterans. Period!
