The very idea of this is appalling. There have been countless cases where states have failed to enforce environmental regulations. Flint, Michigan comes readily to mind. States are already strapped for cash. This would make it worse. Air and water (and their pollutants) are not restricted by geopolitical/state boundaries. There MUST be federal regulation of these issues - just as there must be federal regulation of interstate commerce. This policy of actively seeking to destroy the EPA and everything it has done suggests an extremely myopic judgment on the part of its author. To say the least. I am rendered speechless by the stupidity of this suggestion/bill.
