Yes! Of course! It’s too damaging and is too prevalent. Like sexual assault it should be reported and tracked so one person or group can victimize others again and again. School aged kids are young and they can learn in time but not without consequence or some sort of system to hold them accountable. A stern talking to doesn’t change a bully, neither does bullying. Real accountability for real actions. Teachers are first responders, they need to be trained and empowered to say and do something about sexual assault/abuse, domestic abuse, and about bullying. Being bullied doesn’t give you a thick skin, it strips confidence and tears people down. It’s damaging, and it hasn’t always been a thing to this extent.
