Earlier I put a comment on this bill explaining why I was against it. I realize that my decision was premature and another contributor to this site whose name is Karlee, explained her reasoning as to why she was for this proposal. After taking into her reasoning, I deleted my comment and took the rest of the day to discuss it. I, like many of you do not want an inefficient government, however I realize that this proposal is for a short term period and costs only $2M which over the next five years, is a drop in the bucket. I also realize that it is essential for the government to promote preventative care and that to get recommendations on how to prevent diabetes, it is essential to have a committee form that will report on it. This committee can include the CDC, FDA, and other regulatory agencies that already have the resources available. So due to my change of heart and viewpoint, I do vote in favor of this bill.
