Most states these days have crooked corporate politicians running them. Take Florida for example: Gov. Rick Scott was once involved in a 1.7 billion dollar Medicare bill padding scheme. The only reason he wasn't prosecuted is because the authorities offered him no prosecution for the return of all of the money. Now, he's the governor of the state of Florida and has been systematically shutting down all schools; first, all of the Community Colleges (which were designed to give working class people a pathway to a better life,) and now, he is in the process of closing all public schools (so the only elementary schools available with be Charter Schools that you have to pay for.) Education should be a civil right that comes with citizenship. This country has to decide whether it wants to be bound by ignorance and locked into a class system in perpetuity in a slave-ownership economy, or if We the People want a return to the days of a free and democratic republic that once was the jewel in the crown of the Earth; a land of unbridled opportunity for anyone who was willing to work for it. Education is the difference between freedom and being OWNED as slaves and by giving over the oversight to the states only makes it that much easier for a complete fascist take-over that will never bring good things to the 98%. Remember, states' rights mean 'Divided we fall.'
