1.) If you want to take away power from special interests, implement public financing of elections. 2.) If you want to fix malrepresentation, get rid of gerrymandering, or switch to proportional representation, or both. 3.) If you want congress to focus more on long-term economic growth rather than on near-sighted policies and winning the next election, lengthen the term of office from 2 years to four or more. 4.) Imposing term limits won't change anything. Term limits won't make congress much less dependent on special interest money, save for a last term. Term limits won't fix our wacky district lines or make the party representation in congress any more congruent with how people actually vote. And lastly, if term limits won't make congressmen any more focused on the long term. Even their final term of office will have no incentive for long-term policy making.
